YAF Leadership Conference... More Pictures coming soon!

Last weekend Stephanee, Amberlee and Shelly left Flagstaff
at 3 A.M, (yes A.M.) to make the nine plus hour trip to
the Young Americas Foundation West Coast Leadership
Conference in beautiful Santa Barbra, Calf.
The trip included a revealing game of 20
Questions, arguments with a malfunctioning Garmin,
several interesting but unintentional detours and
the running over of already-ran-over coyote road kill.

And that was just the road trip!

At the actual conference the the girls had the
opportunity to meet and take photographs with
Governor Mitt Romney and his lovely wife Ann.
National Review contributor Victor Davis Hanson spoke
along with Andrew Breitbart from breitbart.co. Also,
ACORN scandal sensation Hannah Giles gave the
students advice to combat liberalism encouraging
young conservatives to,"Attack, attack, attack!".

The speakers were motivating and informative,
especially given the opportunity to meet Mitt Romney,
but the highlight of the trip was the visit to the
Western White House. The NAU Conservatives
traveled with YAF to the Reagan Ranch and toured
the house, tack barn and Secret Service station.

Congressman Joe (You lie!) Wilson spoke at the ranch and
there was also a panel discussion where
the NAU Conservatives learned a new word:
Obamagasm- which urbandictionary.com defines as:
"The peak of excitement that occurs when Obama does
anything good, characterized by strong feelings
of pleasure, usually accompanied by celebration.
Occasionally results in college students
(CENSORED)... in their trousers at
the sight of Obama winning a campaign."

NAU Conservatives Taking a Swing at Socialism!

By Richelle Morin
11/09/2009

On Monday November 9, 2009 the NAU Conservatives
happily celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the
Berlin Wall. A mock wall was created using sheet rock and
decorated by the NAU Conservatives. Students also
made contributions to the wall. The wall placed in the
ped-way (sidewalk) to obstruct students on their way to
and from classes to symbolize the intrusive barrier that
blocked East Germany from the rest of the world.
Some students were glad to see that the day was being
celebrated. Two girls from Russian told the NAU that life
has been much better for everyone since the fall of the
wall and the USSR. Other students were not as enthusiastic
to see the NAU Conservatives exercising theirs rights
to peacefully assemble or freedom of speech but were quick
in their defense of Communism -- strange-- yes unexpected--no.
NAU, like many other colleges, has a distinct leftist point
of view that is promoted in the classroom and in the student body.

NAU Conservatives Big Pimpin'

On October 30th the NAU Conservatives played catch the
pimp and ho to bring awareness to the ACORN scandal--
wait which one you ask? The the one where ACORN was
assisting a prostitute and pimp secure a home loan so they
could pimp out underage illegal El Salvadorian girls or the
scandal involving dead people and the Dallas Cowboys
registering to vote? Well the answer dear friend is both.
Two NAU Conservatives dressed as a pimp and ho and
ran around north campus and handed out acorns to
students who "caught" them. Students would turn the
acorns in for a chance to win $50 dollars or one of five
great conservative books graciously donated by
Campus Reform.
